
Karl Fauss
Karl Fauss has worked extensively in both the sales and service end of the Motor Vehicle Industry. He started out in the car rental business and quickly worked his way up to Rental & Leasing Manager. This experience made him well suited to help create a leasing department for a metropolitan Toyota-Volvo dealership before it was common for non-luxury dealerships to embrace leasing.
While in the Power-Sports Industry, Karl was in high demand due to his ability to set sales records for some of the largest motorcycle dealerships in the Washington D.C. area.
A lucrative offer to manage a Service Team at a high volume automobile dealership brought Karl to the next step in his career. Karl was in service management with several high volume dealerships.
It was actually through volunteer work that Karl discovered his true passion for public speaking. Karl did volunteer work with the U.S. Coast Guard auxiliary for many years and volunteered his time and talent to be an instructor for boat maintenance, repair, and safety. He always found training and developing personnel very rewarding. Karl decided he was ready for a career change.
In early 2006, Karl joined Gil Weiss & Associates. Karl’s extensive experience in sales and service management made him the perfect choice for the specific kind of sales and product training that he was hired to do. After co-facilitating for several months, Karl was able to take over full responsibility for the one-week new-hire sales training course and the Ford Commercial Account Manager training that he teaches all over the country. Karl has implemented many innovative changes in the way these courses are taught. He has developed role play modules that the attendees actually enjoy participating in and it helps them apply what they learn to real life situations.
In April of 2008, Karl began teaching a new course on prospecting and initial sales calls for Ford Motor Company. After piloting this program in several east coast cities, it was picked up by other Ford Regions where they already use Karl for Commercial Truck Training.
In July of 2010 Karl purchased Gil Weiss & Associates and along with Warren Wantz continues offering sales, service and product training with the same commitment to excellence.
